3DEEP® Fractional Skin Resurfacing provides a smoother, brighter skin surface (stratum corneum and epidermis) and reduced hyperpigmentation (epidermis). The FSR handpiece contains a matrix of 112 tiny electrodes, allowing for the first time simultaneous fractional micro-ablation of the epidermis, together with volumetric heating of 100% of the dermis. This technology provides the capability to differentiate between micro-ablation and dermal heating to obtain the optimal multi-layer treatment for aging skin and atrophic acne scars.


The novel 3DEEP® technology implements the interaction of multiple RF sources for controlled delivery of energy to the stratum corneum, epidermis and dermis. The natural aging process normally begins in the mid- twenties (20s). WHAT IS FRACTIONAL SKIN RESURFACING?

Resurfacing refers to the ablation or removal of skin tissue so new healthy tissue can be formed. Fractional skin resurfacing means that specific small areas, a fraction of the skin’s surface, are removed in a precise pattern leaving the surrounding healthy skin intact. The small sections of untreated healthy skin that are left intact facilitate rapid healing of the treated areas, resulting in very high patient satisfaction.

What is Endymed FSR?
Endymed fractional skin resurfacing (FSR) is a 3 dimensional skin resurfacing treatment that combines micro-fractional RF skin ablation with volumetric dermal anti-wrinkle effect. This provides deep dermal heating to the lower skin layers and micro-fractional ablation to the top layer of the skin. Endymed FSR is safe, comfortable and very effective at treating skin concerns on the face and body, with minimal downtime. How does Endymed FSR work?
Since the skin manifests differently in the various layers of the skin, each layer requires a different modality to accomplish the most effective treatment. Fractional ablation is applied to the skin for a smoother, brighter skin surface and reduction of hyperpigmentation. Simultaneously, volumetric deep dermal heating is applied to the collagen fibers causing an immediate and long term skin tightening and collagen stimulation. This combined treatment effectively treats all skin layers for an optimal result.

What should I expect from a Endymed FSR?
Prior to the EndyMed™ 3DEEP® FSR procedure, the practitioner may numb the skin using an anaesthetic cream. The skin will feel hot as the 3DEEP® FSR hand piece is used to create an energy pulse on the skin. Each pulse will last for less than a second and will create tiny controlled microablations in the epidermis whilst uniform dermal heating takes place. This is repeated to provide complete coverage of the treatment area. The skin will feel hot for an hour or so after the procedure and will also appear red. A recovery cream will be applied at this stage to help soothe and calm the skin.
Over the next few days, when the redness and swelling begins to fade, the “grid” marks (extremely tiny dots) will become noticeable. They will then turn to a faint brownish color. The skin will feel tight, itchy and also undergo a little scabbing, crusting and flaking which is completely normal and expected. This should normally be resolved after 5 to 7 days. This can be easily managed with use of a regenerating moisturizer such as SkinCeuticals and mineral make-up such as Colorescience.

How long does Endymed FSR take?
The Endymed RF procedure takes between 45-60 minutes to perform depending on the treatment area.

How soon are the results of Endymed FSR noticeable?
From one week onwards the benefit of the fractional skin resurfacing should start to be noticeable with a visibly smoother, brighter, more luminous appearance. The dermal heating will be stimulating new collagen formation which will start to re-model and tighten from 4 to 6 weeks onwards leading to a gradual improvement of fine lines, wrinkles, scars and stretch marks. Results are cumulative and improve over time. The results are on-going and long lasting due to natural changes in the skin as new collagen continues to be produced and significant dermal remodeling occurs over a period of 3 to 6 months after the procedure. It will take about 3 months after your last procedure for the full benefits to be realized . The results can be enhanced with high level SPF (UV protection), high quality skin care products, and periodic maintenance treatments.

Are there side effects from Endymed FSR?
Endymed FSR is has an excellent safety profile, slight redness in the treatment area is common post procedure with minimal downtime. The treatment carries no side effects.

How often do I need to do Endymed FSR?​
A course of  treatments normally consists of 3 to 5 sessions spaced  4 to 6 weeks apart. The number of treatments required, however, will depend on the nature and severity of the problem. We will consult with you to customize a treatment regimen to deliver optimal results.
