A double chin is a common concern among many adults. Excess fat, sagging skin or fullness underneath the chin can create an unbalanced appearance. Individuals may feel like their submental fat makes them appear older, heavier and less attractive than they would like. After age 35, your skin starts producing much less collagen and elastin, two chemicals necessary for providing support and firmness to skin. Other factors encourage development of unattractive double chins as well, such as weight fluctuations, genetics and excessive exposure to sunlight. Although you might be able to delay the appearance of a turkey neck by making lifestyle changes, it will not help much if your closest relatives have double chins. Unfortunately, no exercises or diets exist that can eliminate neck and chin fat if you inherited this trait. However, we offer clients solutions to help treat double chins!
