Jawline Reduction/Contouring

Jawline Reduction / Jawline Contouring

Jawline contour is a popular procedure for slimming the jawline and creating a more balanced facial profile. Over time, aging can impact the elasticity of the jawline and create jowls. A sagging jawline can add age to someone’s appearance and also impact the balance of the face. Jawline contour using injections is popular for men and women who want to create a more defined jawline.

Fillers and botox have seen a rise in popularity because there is less recovery time compared to surgery. Furthermore, it is a quick and relatively painless procedure that provides immediate results. Fillers and botox can also be used as preventative measures for younger patients who have not yet experienced facial volume loss.

Frequently asked questions

Jawline Contouring and Chin Filler (also called Jawline Sculpting) is a treatment performed with precise dermal filler injections to create a more defined, chiseled, and sculpted jawline within a matter of minutes.

As we age the bone volume in our jaw and chin begins to decrease. We lose definition, structure, and support over time. Genetics also plays a role. Some people naturally have a weaker jawline or chin. With fillers like Juvéderm®, Restylane®, and Teosyal®, expert injectors at LSG can redefine, reshape, and rebuild the contour of your jawline.

Whether you would like a more distinct jawline for a wider, stronger appearance or a clearly defined angle to make your face appear slimmer and more refined, your treatment will be personalized according to your desired aesthetic results.

Jawline Contouring and Chin Filler is an advanced medical treatment that should only be performed by an Expert Nurse Injector.

There are many veins, arteries, and nerves in the face making it extremely important to be treated by a licensed medical professional.

There are a variety of dermal fillers that can be used to create a more defined jawline. The majority of Jawline Contouring and Chin Fillers are made with Hyaluronic Acid which is a very safe and naturally occurring substance in the skin. Hyaluronic Acid Fillers come in a variety of thicknesses. Thicker gel densities (high G prime fillers) are used to add volume, structure, and support in areas like the jawline and chin. Your expert injector will identify the right filler for your treatment at the time of your consultation. Determining factors include your facial anatomy, the areas treated, the length of time the filler lasts, the cost per syringe, and the desired look you’d like to achieve.

On the day of your treatment, your expert injector will meet you in a private treatment room to discuss your aesthetic goals in detail. From there, your injector will assess your facial anatomy to determine what type of filler is best to achieve your desired aesthetic results. Before your Jawline Contouring & Chin Filler begins, your skin will be cleansed at the injection sites to remove any makeup or oil on the surface of your skin (very important). Now that your skin is clean, your injector is ready to introduce the Jawline & Chin Filler with a cannula or an ultra-fine needle (which may feel like a light pinch). A cannula is a tiny tube that distributes the dermal filler. Some injectors prefer to use a cannula to reduce the risk of bruising. All of the injectors at LSG are experts in both methods (needle and cannula). Your injector will determine which technique is best for your treatment.

Your injector will go slowly, adding your filler in stages until they reach your desired aesthetic results. Your injector may also mould the filler with their fingers after it’s injected to shape it into place before it fully sets. It’s important to ice the area after your treatment to reduce swelling and bruising.

Your treatment will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Swelling and bruising after Jawline Contouring and Chin Filler treatments is common. Swelling is at its peak 1 to 2 days after your treatment. The swelling is much better after 3 to 5 days.

You will see results immediately. There will be some swelling after your treatment so you won’t see your best results until 7 to 10 days later.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers dissolve naturally and gradually over time. Most of the Restylane®Juvéderm®, and Teosyal® products tend to last 1 to 2 years when injected into the jawline and chin area. This can vary depending on your anatomy and how quickly filler metabolizes in your body. Touch-up treatments are required to maintain results.

The cost of Jawline Contouring and Chin Filler varies depending on the natural anatomy of your face. Your injector will assess the structure of your face to determine the type and volume of dermal filler needed to achieve your desired aesthetic results. Jawline and Chin Filler typically starts at $1,000 with most treatments being closer to $2,000 to $3,000. You will receive an exact quote during your consultation.

Methods we use to treat

Moderate to severe frown lines between your brows form over time as a result of muscle activity. To address this problem, Botox® Cosmetic is injected directly into the muscles between your brows and works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles. This reduces the activity of the muscles that caused those persistent lines to form. If you are looking to rejuvenate your appearance, tackle the signs of aging, bring back volume to your face, or even treat excessive sweating, Botox® is definitely the right treatment for you. Book an appointment at LSG to receive a detailed understanding of the treatment and how it can help you.
The active ingredient in the Filler family of products is hyaluronic acid. The flexibility, texture, and resilience of youthful skin exist because of the high amount of water it contains. Also known as hyaluronan, hyaluronic acid is a sticky substance that our body naturally produces. The skin, eyes, and connective tissue are the sites where maximum amounts of hyaluronic acid are found. Its capacity to retain water up to almost a thousand times its weight is the key reason why it is used in cosmetic fillers. Apart from hydration, hyaluronic acid is also linked to tissue repair, rejuvenation, and has anti-inflammatory action. Hyaluronic acid also facilitates new cell growth and promotes tightness and volume of the skin.
CoolSculpting induces a significant, noticeable, natural-looking reduction in fat bulges that are resistant to diet and exercise. Unlike most other methods of fat reduction, CoolSculpting involves no needles, surgery, or downtime. Patients often spend the procedure time reading, working on their laptops and phones, or simply relaxing. It’s safe, FDA-cleared and effective. CoolSculpting works by a process known as cryolipolysis. The targeted area is placed between two panels that freeze the fat cells. The frozen and dead cells are then excreted naturally by and through the body – over the next several weeks.
We offer Belkyra in the most innovative way to permanently remove submental fat. Its active ingredient is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat. When used to treat submental fat, Belkyra destroys fat cells, creating a smoother and more beautifully contoured profile. The results are permanent. Did you know? Belkyra can also be used in other areas such as bra fat, and banana rolls! At times, when we try on clothes, we notice lumps and rolls of fat showing through. This is more commonly noticed right below the bra line, and around the waist. These extra pockets of fat make us look out of shape and can certainly cause us to lose confidence in our appearance.
