  • Rosacea
  • Spider and leg veins
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Nail fungus
  • Telangiectasia

Our Candela GentleMax Pro Plus utilizes two energy sources, the Alexandrite and Nd: Yag lasers. They can be synchronised to work independently or simultaneously to tailor treatment according to your unique skin type, hair colour and thickness, for safety and great results.

Alexandrite is known as the gold standard for treating light skin types and the Nd: Yag is tailored for darker skin types without risking hyperpigmentation or ineffective results.

Laser hair removal works by targeting the melanin (dark pigment) in the hair without affecting the surrounding skin

Laser Hair Reduction For Fair To Medium Skin Tones

Alexandrite lasers effectively remove hair from the face and body. They have a specific wavelength of light, and are non-ablative so will destroy hair at the root but leave the surface of the skin untouched.

The Alexandrite laser can be used to target large areas of unwanted hair as it has an adjustable spot size, and will require a course of sessions to achieve the most lasting results.

Laser Hair Reduction For Dark Skin Tones

The Nd:YAG laser (neodymium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet laser), has a particularly long wavelength, which causes it to bypass the top layer of skin and head straight for underlying tissues, where many skin problems begin.

It’s particularly useful for hair removal-and indeed vein treatment-for people with darker skin as the laser is minimally absorbed by the skin’s melanin.

Like the Alexandrite laser, it is also non ablative and can be used to treat all body and facial hair issues.

After your first treatment of hair removal, your targeted hair will fall out two weeks post-treatment and will grow back weaker. After a total of 4 to 8 weeks depending on the area being treated post-treatment, when the hair has grown back enough for the laser to detect, another session will target the regrown hair, it will fall out again after two weeks and grow back even weaker and more sparce than before, this will continue until hair fails to grow back.

Frequently Asked Questions

Patients stay comfortable during treatments and achieve ultimate outcomes with dependable epidermal protection. Candela GentleMax Pro Plus incorporates the Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) cooling system to protect the patients’ skin no matter how fast the laser is fired.

An important note before each GentleMax Pro Plus laser hair removal treatment is to shave the targeted area(s) 24-48 hours before your appointment. Avoid the use of any lotions, deodorant, makeup, or cosmetics on the skin to allow for better results.

The number of GentleMax Pro Plus laser hair removal treatments you will require depends on the area to be treated, the coarseness of the hair as well as the pigment of the skin and hair. Treatment areas such as the legs, bikini area and under-arms could take 6 or more GentleMax Pro Plus laser hair removal treatments. Other more hormonal areas could require 8 or more treatments. Candela GentleMax Pro Plus Laser hair removal interval sessions are usually 4-6 weeks apart to effectively reduce hair growth. During your GentleMax Pro Plus laser hair removal journey at LSG, your laser technician will keep you updated on how many more sessions you will need and your ongoing  progress.

Along with GentleMax Pro Plus being popular for laser hair removal, the GentleMax Pro plus also offers the benefit and versatility of using top of the line technology to effectively treat:

● Vascular lesions
● Diffuse redness and facial vessels
● Spider and leg veins
● Angiomas and hemangiomas
● Nail fungus

The most common side effects of laser hair removal include:

Skin irritation: There may be temporary discomfort, redness and swelling evident in the treatment area.  Any signs and symptoms typically disappear within several hours. To reduce any discomfort, apply ice to the treated area. If you have a skin reaction immediately after laser hair removal, immediately contact our office.

Pigment changes: Laser hair removal can potentially darken or lighten the affected treatment area. These pigment changes can be temporary or even permanent. Skin lightening primarily affects those who don’t avoid sun exposure before or after treatment and those who have darker skin.

Prevention is key! In order to minimize the risk of pigment changes, ensure to avoid sunlight exposure after laser hair removal and between scheduled treatments. Additionally, avoid tanning beds for a minimum of six weeks. Use a broad-spectrum 30 SPF sunscreen daily.

Rarely, laser hair removal can also cause blistering, crusting, scarring or skin texture changes. Other rare side effects include graying of treated hair or paradoxical hair growth around the treated areas, particularly on darker skin types.

No two clients are the same in terms of being able to give them a definite number of necessary GentleMax Pro Plus laser hair removal treatments. It depends on: your age, hair type and the area to be treated. Some clients require 6 treatments, whereas others may need 9 or more. On average, about 80 per cent hair reduction is achieved after 6 visits. You should also know: there may be reduced hair growth for several weeks after treatment. Then you’ll experience new regrowth in certain areas and during this stage, another treatment is required.

You should avoid electrolysis, waxing, or plucking, six weeks prior to your laser hair removal treatment. Your skin should be clean-shaven and clean from creams, oils, makeup, self-tanning products, or topical anesthetics, on the day of your hair removal treatment.

Prior to and immediately after your treatment, you should avoid tanning beds or sunlight and apply sunscreen (SPF 30 or above)

After your GentleMax Pro Plus laser hair removal treatment, you may experience redness or swelling on the area treated that typically goes away after a few hours, depending on the reaction. Within several hours or days after the treatment, these side effects will vanish. After each session:

● Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks following the treatment
● Every day, apply sunscreen with SPF30 to the treated area(s)
● Avoid sauna use, hot baths/showers or active exercise until the redness is gone
● Do not scratch, tweeze, wax, or pluck the area. Shaving only!

Male Brazilian laser hair removal

Gentlemen, it’s time to experience the next level of grooming with laser hair removal services for men. Our Male Brazilian Laser Hair Removal treatment offers an effortless solution for smooth, hair-free skin. Say good-buy to the hassle of constant shaving and waxing. Instead, welcome the confidence that comes with a cleaner, more groomed appearance!

What is male Brazilian laser?

A male Brazilian laser is a specialized cosmetic procedure that focuses on removing hair from the entire pubic region of men using laser technology

Brazilian laser hair removal for male genital area (Front)

  • Men’s Brazilian laser treatment at the front area focuses solely on the front part of the genital region.
  • It typically includes the removal of hair from the pubic area, the shaft, scrotum, and potentially the upper thighs.
  • This option is suitable for men who want to maintain a clean and groomed appearance in the front but do not wish to address the hair in the anus (back area).

  • Full Brazilian laser hair removal for male (Front & Back)

  • The Full Brazilian goes a step further by including all areas covered in the Front Area Brazilian, and also extends to the back area, including anal and the area between the buttocks.
  • During this laser hair removal treatment, we are simply getting rid of all the hair off the entire penis, scrotum, testicles and anus.
  • Full man Brazilian laser is chosen by patients who prefer a completely hair-free genital and anal region. It’s a popular choice for reasons of hygiene, aesthetics, or personal preference.
  • You can also add full buttocks laser to this option to remove the full buttock area hair as well
  • Everything is customizable here at LSG

All treatments are performed with your privacy and well-being in mind at all times. Brazilian for men is a very easy and quick process that is discreet. You will be covered by a towel 99% of the time.

Brazilian laser for men, also known as Manzilian laser or Manscaping, is by far the best form of pubic hair removal. No more ingrown hairs, no shaving rashes, no cuts on your skin from the razor. Ladies prefer it. Men’s Brazilian laser is pain-free and permanent. In addition, it is way cheaper than waxing in the long run.

Laser hair removal for darker skin tones available.

We can treat all skin tones safely and effectively. Our laser hair removal works on all skin tones. Some hair removal methods are limited to light skin but our laser is precise enough to target the hair follicle and eliminate hair growth at the root without damaging the surface of the skin. Even the darkest of skin tones can be treated.

Male bikini laser hair removal

The area that lies outside of the panty line is considered the bikini line. A bikini line laser hair removal treatment typically covers up to three inches beyond this line, ensuring a flawless look in panties or a bikini. It often also addresses some areas that underwear covers, such as the sides of the labia and top of the pubic region, but this is up to the client.

Male Brazilian laser hair removal

A Brazilian laser hair removal treatment includes more area than a bikini treatment because it includes the labia and perianal areas as well. This option leaves men completely bare, but often those who choose Brazilian treatments opt to keep some hair in the pubic region, such as a landing strip

Ingrown hairs are strands of hair that reenter the skin while growing back in after being shaved, waxed, or otherwise temporarily removed. It isn’t the growing-in process that makes an ingrown hair problematic; it’s that the hair may get trapped somehow (usually curly or coarse hair) and the tissue around it becomes inflamed.

Any grooming of the hair on the face, head, or body can lead to ingrown hairs. Experts suggest that removal methods that pull hair from follicles, such as tweezing, could increase the risk for abnormal growth. The pattern of hair growth and characteristics could also be the cause. Curly or coarse hairs may provoke reentry into the skin during the growing-in phase.

It is not advisable to pull or pluck ingrown hair. The skin around the affected follicle is inflamed and at risk for infection. If the ingrown hair has caused a pustule, fluid-filled cyst, there may already be a slight infection happening. Pulling the hair, or even shaving in the area, can increase the risks associated with infection, including hyperpigmentation and scarring. The best thing to do is to consult with a professional. Laser hair removal is a quick and effective way to remove ingrown hairs. The cycle of hair growth is interrupted after the very first treatment, so the symptoms of the ingrown hair may resolve within a few days to a week of the initial laser session.

Men and women can both have ingrown hairs, however, they have them in different places. Men tend to get them on the chin, cheeks, and neck. Men who shave their head or other areas of the body may also see them in these places. Women may get ingrown hairs in the bikini area, the armpits, legs, chin, and neck.

  • Itching of the skin
  • Pain around the skin
  • Redness or other hyperpigmentation
  • Papules, which are small, solid bumps
  • Pustules, or small bumps filled with fluid
  • Ingrown hairs embedded beneath the skin

They can be. An ingrown hair can become lodged within the pore, where it continues to grow inward. This can cause a bump or cyst to form, which can become tender to the touch. Fortunately, laser ingrown hair removal quickly destroys the ingrown hair as well as the uncomfortable inflammation around it.

It is possible for an ingrown hair to cause infection in the follicle. This can result in increased pain, an oozing cyst, and scarring. The skin around it can darken over time, and the hyperpigmentation may not fully lighten to the natural tone of the skin. This tends to be particularly common in people with darker skin.

There are not many precautions that need to be taken before laser hair removal. Depending on our discussion during your initial consultation, we may suggest that you:

  • Avoid sun exposure and excessive tanning
  • Stop waxing and plucking before laser hair removal treatment.
  • Avoid certain supplements, anti-inflammatory medications, and aspirin

Any person who experiences recurrent ingrown hairs may be a good candidate for laser hair removal. This approach can achieve long-term results because laser energy disables hair follicles, so they are no longer productive. Where there is no hair growing in, there are no ingrown hairs. Treatment may be necessary if the ingrown hair does not dislodge on its own and is causing uncomfortable symptoms or infection. A doctor may need to treat this condition with antibiotics or by manually removing the troublesome hair.

Lasers are commonly used to dramatically reduce the amount of hair growth that occurs in a given area, such as the chin or the bikini line. More than a one-time treatment for ingrown hairs, laser hair removal is performed to permanently affect further hair growth cycles.

This procedure is a systematic method of treating unwanted hair to achieve semi-permanent results. Most people who choose this technique no longer require grooming to get rid of hair. However, stray hairs may grow back occasionally. Depending on the extent of recurrent hair growth, touch up treatments may be performed periodically.

The way that the procedure works is by emitting low-energy laser light from a handpiece that is moved across the skin. This energy permeates hundreds of hair follicles simultaneously, where light targets the pigment in the strands of hair that are in the follicle. When the light comes into contact with the hair, it becomes heat, and the thermal energy that develops disables the hair follicle.

Whereas women often have hair removed on the underarms and bikini line, men opt for these areas:

  • Back
  • Chest
  • Abdomen
  • Buttocks
  • Bikini
  • Arms
  • Unibrow
  • Neck
  • Back of neck
  • Cheekbone
  • Head
  • Beard

It’s easy to think that laser energy could instantly remove all of the hair in an area. But the FDA approvals for laser hair removal are for “permanent hair reduction.” There are two reasons for this:

  • First, lasers only damage hair in the anagen (growth) cycle.

But hairs can also be in the catagen (transitional phase between growth and rest) or the telogen phase (rest). The catagen and telogen phases are transitioning into shedding the hair. These cycles stop nourishing the hair, shed it, and start growing a new hair shaft. That’s why lasers don’t affect hair in these phases; they’re already on their way out. Every hair on the human body is independent and works alone. Considering that the human body has around five million hairs on it (men have a few hundred thousand more than women), those are a lot of hair follicles to hope to catch in the anagen phase for effective laser removal.

  • Second, damaged follicles can rebuild with hormonal changes.

Plus, if hair follicles are only partially damaged, it may heal and begin to regrow hair. The bottom line, numerous studies show the degree of permanent hair reduction to be from 85 to 90 percent.

Men can and should shave between laser hair removal sessions.

Shaving is actually the recommended method of hair removal between treatments. This is because it leaves the hair shaft intact beneath the skin, which is necessary for the laser to target the follicle effectively.

Avoid waxing, plucking, or using depilatory creams. These techniques remove hair from the root and make the laser treatment less effective.

Shave the treatment area a day or two before your session. This ensures the hair is at the optimal length for the laser to target effectively.

A technician should not perform laser hair removal directly over tattoos. The laser can scatter the ink, potentially damaging the skin or altering the tattoo’s appearance.

If you have tattoos in areas where you want hair removal, inform your technician. They will carefully work around the tattooed regions to avoid any complications.

Men with darker skin tones can safely undergo laser hair removal. This is especially true when the laser specialist uses advanced laser technologies designed to accommodate different skin types.

At LSG, we use advanced lasers that are specifically tailored for darker skin tones. These lasers bypass the melanin in the epidermis and reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation and burns.
